Does anyone else love fall? The weather is perfect, and the clothes are equally as perfect. Cords and a cashmere sweater. Love it.

Greek!

The new season of Greek started yesterday. I don't know why I love this show, as well as Gossip Girl so much, but I do. The only other television show I ever watched was Gilmore Girls, and I hate that they are no longer doing any new seasons.

Whilmington

We went to Whilmington this past weekend, and let me tell you it was so much nicer and prettier than Myrtle Beach. I actually cannot wait to go back to visit. The city has so much history, and so many things you can visit. We went to take a look at a battleship in the area as well as a really nice aquarium. Carolina Beach was so pretty, especially in the evening. There is a lighthouse in the area, but we spent the majority of our time on the beach so we will have to visit it next summer. My favorite little skirt

I am usually not a fan of Old Navy(I much prefer the Gap), however I found the cutest little preppy skirt for my little Lexibear. I really do love this skirt.

The Dark Knight

I loved, loved, loved the new Batman movie. It was one of those movies that as soon as it ended, I was already thinking of when I could come see it again. Mother-in-Law watched lexibear for us, so we were able to do a date night. It was the first one since lexibear was born 9 months ago! We need to try to do it more often, as it was so nice to get out on our own. If you haven't gone to see this movie yet, you really need to consider going to watch it, just without any kids, as it is a semi-dark movie.

Rain Again

Rain has a catch 22 quality about it to me. We, as in the grand ole state of NC that I live in, need rain pretty badly. We tell each other, in casual conversation, that it needs to rain, and it needs to rain every day for months to stock back up on our water supply. In June, the grass in the frontyard of every home in my development looked brown and really almost dead. Flowers looked wilted everywhere, even the trees looked wilted. Not at all the summers I remember from childhood. Anyhow, we knew we needed rain, and lots of it. Well, now we are getting that rain. Every day, and I sit and look out the window now, wishing it would go away so I could take my baby out to the pool. Every afternoon now I hear the telltale sound of thunder and I know that we will be stuck indoors again this evening. Summer just doesn't seem to be what it used to.

Gossip Lane

I admit it. I read Gossip blogs all the time, I'm talking like once, sometimes twice, a day. My favorite is Imnotobssessed. Perezhilton is a fav of mine as well. Well, yesterday, I was reading TMZ and read about an incident involving a drunk driver who hit someone, broke the girl's pelvis, and drove away. Luckily the girl's boyfriend caught up with the driver and made her stop. I was seriously affected by this story. This is not gossip, my friends, this is non-celebrities lives. But it was a great way to get a story out that needs to be out.

Seriously, wth is wrong with people? How do you get so drunk that you don't know you just hit another person?! What makes you think that you are ok to get behind a wheel and drive, I mean, what do you tell yourself to make yourself think you are sober enough to drive? What is the rationing behind a drunk driver's actions? This subject always pisses me off.

We went to Myrtle Beach for the weekend of my birthday. Let me tell you now. It sucked. This is not a family Beach. If you like to actually spend time on the beach like we do, then its the worst beach to go to. The weather sucked the entire time we were there. It stormed every single day, and it seemed to rain almost non-stop. We ended up driving to Topsail Island just to get some beach time in. The following pictures of from our time in Topsail (which we love btw).

One inspired find.

I have been searching for months to find the perfect "purse" to carry. See, I have an eight month old, and I am usually seriously loaded up with bags already whenever she and I take a trip outdoors on one of my fanatic shopping excursions. Add one heavy 19 pound wiggle worm to my load, and I am completely overloaded. I needed something I could easily put on, and something that would stay put, no matter what postions I end up in (like half-crouching trying to scoop up said wiggle-worm with one arm). I tired every store I could think of. Finally one day, while on one of my wandering trip around Target, I found IT.

It is a plaid bag with straps that go on like a bookbag. Its small, and light, and so easy to carry. Plus it won't slip off. Such a cute little useful preppy find. (Except for the itsy bitty problem of bonking me on the head if I lean over, but I can deal with that). Its prolly humorous to see anyway.

A greek obsession.

I love the new ABC show Greek. Really. I spent all day last Mon. watching a marathon on ABC. And then on Sat, night I stayed up till 1 o'clock in the morning watching the ones that they don't show.

I'm kinda weird in that I will find something I love, and then get obsessed over it for like two weeks. After those two weeks are up, I find that suddenly I don't think nearly as much of the object of my obsession. I just kinda forget it almost. I may still like it, but I'm not obsessed with it anymore. Telling isn't it.

My Sweet Pea

Decided I would let you get a look at my pretty girl. Shes 8 months old now. Man they grow really fast! I feel like if I blink too fast she will be 16 before I am ready.

We went to the zoo recently and these pics are from that adventure. In the second pic, she is sitting in a giant ostrich egg. Nice little nod to where she came from, a bit of strange humor my husband displayed.

Yay for Target!

I swear I can walk into Target and easily rack up on hundred dollars worth of stuff in ten minutes.

One of my favorite pastimes is to just walk around Target and look at everything. I always find stuff I walk this way. I love the baby clothes there. I found a great preppy pair of shorts there for my little angel.

These shorts come in a bunch of different color combos, this is just the one that I liked.

100 Calories!

Right now I am on a healthier diet kick. So I am trying various new item. I love the Nabisco 100 Calorie snacks. The Mister Salty and Oreo Candy Bites are really good, and help when I am having a chocolate snack craving. I have given up sodas completely and am drinking Crystal Light bottle drinks. I can't believe I have never drank these before! They really are good, my favorite is the pink lemonade flavor. Cutting calories is really not hard now with all this low calorie stuff in the grocery stores. They seem to be everywhere now!

Blogging

I have decided to fill my spare time with blogging. Its almost the start of summer and I will be posting my favorite preppy finds. I will also be posting just favorite things in general as I come across them. Bring the summer on!
